Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student-Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere's Skid Steer Loader operations located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will:
- Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, efficiency, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
- Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
- Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations
- Develops plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing
- Assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans
- Provide day to day shop floor support for skid steer assembly
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a Technology related field; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
- Graduation date of 2023 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work during the academic year
- Available to work during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a regular basis
