GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
The City of Dubuque invites applications for the position of Golf Course Superintendent. The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the operations, maintenance, landscaping and groundskeeping activities of an 18-hole municipal golf course; review contracts to ascertain service, machine and workforce requirements; answer inquiries from patrons; prepare estimates according to labor, material and machine costs; hire, plan, evaluate, schedule and supervise the work of personnel engaged in the maintenance of golf course grounds; and perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent; work experience in golf course operations and grounds management, greenhouse operations, landscaping, groundskeeping or related experience; and equivalent education and training; possession of a valid state driver’s license; and ability to obtain Iowa pesticide applicator’s license within 60 days of start date required. The City offers an annual salary range of $58,177 - $76,086, and an attractive benefits package which includes twelve weeks of paid parental leave.
