Job Overview

Directs and oversees individuals responsible for desktop, server and LAN support at one RHM. Works closely with Director to ensure the highest possible level of service to RHM. Works closely with CIO and ISD to ensure local issues and priorities are met. Serves as a member of Information Services leadership team, collaborating with Information Services management and staff to provide a technology infrastructure that is consistent with the goals of Trinity Health and meeting the needs of the RHM.Directs individuals responsible for all desktop, server and LAN support at one RHM. Performs supervisory functions of hiring, evaluating, training, career development and mentoring. Consults with local HR departments on adhering to RHM HR policies and procedures. Responsible for desktop support at designated RHM, which includes configuration, trouble shooting, problem solving, repairing, deploying desktop units, monitors and printers. Adheres to Trinity Health guidelines for acquisition and configuration. Responds to request for services at designated RHM, which includes routine equipment acquisition requests, changes and moves. Adheres to established guidelines to track and monitor requests. Responsible for installation, maintenance and support of servers located at designated RHM. Adheres to Trinity Health standards for hardware, configuration and maintenance. Responsible for installation, maintenance and support of local area networks at designated RHM. Follows standards for LAN configurations as defined by Trinity Health. Works closely with RHM CIO and ISD to ensure service and needs of the RHM are being met. Responsible the successful implementation of TIS strategy, goals and objectives as defined by TIS senior leadership. Meets or exceeds all measures as defined in the Information Services Service Level Agreements (SLA). Works closely with Director Technology Operations to ensure that RHM is receiving the same high standard of service. Responsible for the coordination of departmental budgets, both capital and operating, including preparation of budgets, approval of expenditures and monitoring of actual expenditures. Prepares variance explanations as required by TIS management. Assists in evaluating hardware and software requirements and determining if upgrades are required to maintain optimal service. Determines the applicability of new technological developments and recommending appropriate usage. Assists in preparing written reports on findings for presentation to TIS and RHM senior management for justifying upgrades, new equipment purchases, or maintenance enhancements. Anticipates and provides solutions to complex problems and issues, recommends upgrades and enhancements. Understands and quickly responds to complex technical and conceptual information to identify issues and implications. Presents clear and understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels of the organization. Participates in and supports projects defined within the TIS strategic plan and reports on their effective completion and implementation. Assists with establishment of departmental and colleague goals and objectives that support the overall goals of Information Services and promotes staff development. Evaluates colleague and department performance against these established goals and objectives. Responsible for department’s administrative functions including project management, resource allocation, vendor management, colleague performance evaluations and career development. Actively participates in the development, maintenance and testing of Information Services disaster recovery plans. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior. Performs other duties as assigned.
