Job Overview
Under general supervision, the carpenter/painter is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of carpentry and paint related work throughout the complex and surrounding buildings.
The customer population served by Plant Engineering is any person accessing MercyOne’s services and/or facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, patients, families, physicians, staff, visitors, vehicular traffic, and pedestrian traffic. Additionally, the customer population represents persons with varying degrees of permanent and/or temporary physical disabilities. The maintenance and design of the facilities must consider these needs and meet or exceed the same.
High school graduate required. Trade or vocational school graduate in Carpentry and/or Painter or 2 years’ experience in related work. Four years previous experience in painting, wallpapering, and plastering preferred. Must possess knowledge of various paint related products.
