Job Overview
Responsible for providing College-wide maintenance and support of all AV systems and end-user technologies owned by NICC - endpoint and end-user technologies include but are not limited to: large format displays, touch panels, projectors, professional audio equipment, workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, and phones utilizing current best practices.
Assist AV Coordinator with comprehensive classroom technology plan for all installations, upgrades, and maintenance of classroom equipment.
Assist with procurement for the respective campus location including a full understanding of ordering procedures, vendor management, requisition fulfillment, and other details.
Determine the nature of problems, log and track the details and resolution progress, help users resolve problems, and collaborate with the appropriate CIS staff as required.
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years’ experience in working with multimedia equipment and technologies required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
Be knowledgeable of new and emerging technologies and share with appropriate individuals and committees. Strong audio/visual and communications experience and training required. Experience in end-user, technology-related training preferred. Possesses strong organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate, work with and provide training to people with various ranges of audio/visual understanding and ability to establish and maintain rapport with faculty, staff, and students. Knowledge of audio/visual equipment functions, installation, maintenance, electronic troubleshooting, and related connectivity.
