Job Overview

Your local news source, the employee-owned Telegraph Herald, has an opportunity for a high-energy, influential manager to lead our Distribution Center.  The Distribution Center Manager plays a significant role in overseeing the distribution of the Telegraph Herald newspaper to our customers and subscribers through home delivery, single copy racks/newspaper stands, and retail locations.

This is a third-shift leadership position that requires someone with a positive demeanor, the ability to provide a fun and upbeat work environment, and enjoys working side-by-side with the distribution center team. Your ability to develop good rapport and trusting relationships with our independent contractors is essential as they are the indispensable players who get our product out the door and into the hands of our readers!

Previous team-lead experience is preferred yet not required. If you have the desire to move into a leadership position, we’ll provide you with the training and coaching you’ll need for success.

This is a salaried career opportunity that requires a self-motivated professional who enjoys working autonomously while supporting WCI’s core values. Basic computer skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lb. newspaper bundles, valid driver’s license, and good driving record are required.
