Job Overview

  1. Performs the maintenance schedule for the Organization’s facilities and grounds and assures its completion in a timely manner as directed by routine schedules.
  2. Maintains certain aspects of the heating, cooling, and plumbing of the buildings as directed by routine schedules.
  3. Performs and maintains a system for delivery and stock items for the Community Center and if needed, the Residential Center for Environmental Services.
  4. Shall take care of certain duties outside of routine schedules when needed.
  5. Maintains laundry equipment including washing machines, dryers, etc.
  6. Repairs and deep cleans on routine schedule furniture, cabinets, beds, etc. as directed.
  7. Maintains the cleanliness of the organization vehicles and lifts on a routine schedule.
  8. Performs necessary snow removal.
  9. Maintains a clean work environment and follows safety and emergency procedures as well as reporting of safety and health concerns in a timely manner.
  10. May have responsibilities of establishing guidelines and inspecting and reporting deficiencies in areas related to Facilities Equipment, Fire and Safety Equipment, Vehicles and building and grounds.
  11. Establishes and maintains a continuous methodology of communication with the Executive Operations Director and Lead Maintenance Engineer.
  12. Assists with moving of Organization’s, resident’s and consumer’s equipment, furnishings, etc.
  13. Performs fire drills and assurance compliance with all rules, regulations, and standards.
  14. Assists with ensuring the facilities’ and grounds’ appearance, cleanliness and functionality meet Organization standards using routine schedules.
  15. Assists with all floor care, carpet and vinyl, in the absence of the Environmental Services Supervisor, will notify and coordinate affected departments and performing work required to complete the care as necessary.
  16. May participant in all seasonal decorating tasks and assures timeliness of set up and take down.
  17. Responsible and assists with storage areas and assures areas are orderly and items and equipment designated for storage are handled properly and timely.
  18. Participates in the coordination and set up of facilities for events.
  19. Assists with routine painting of all facilities, notifying and coordinating affected departments and performing work in a timely fashion, while working with the Environmental Services Supervisor.
  20. Responsible for the routine deep cleaning of certain equipment/filters/lights/windows etc. in the organizations facilities.
  21. Responsible routinely changing batteries and canisters in certain pieces of equipment and dispensers on a scheduled basis.
  22. Conducts new hire classes per facility requirement & participates in training fairs.
  23. Rentals: assures the rentals & spaces used are set back up as original.
  24. May be responsible for establishing scheduled printed forms to routinely document responsibilities.
  25. Reports to supervisor any mechanical failures and hazardous conditions.
  26. Attends meetings as required.
  27. Assures the confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data in compliance with HIPAA policy & confidentiality procedures.
  28. Performs other duties as assigned.
  29. Participates in an on-call rotation and ensures responsiveness to emergencies.

    1. Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance is required. Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, lift, and move throughout areas as required.  Ability to sit, drive, push, pull, grasp, reach and climb ladders as required.
    2. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate hand tools, electrical equipment, computer keyboard, mouse and other devices and objects.
    3. The environment can be crowded, noisy with frequent distractions. Subject to various temperatures and weather conditions when driving or working outside.
    4. Traveling throughout the community to complete job responsibilities.

 

CDL license required for driving requirements.
