Board Piler - Yard Work - Entry Level Position

Edgewood, IA

$16/HR

Full Time - Mon-Fri - 6am-2:30pm

Mandatory OT as required

Responsibilities:

• Pile boards based on the grade that they are assigned and in manner required so as to present lumber in most advantageous way.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and helping those around you.
• Uses handheld saws to trim lumber as required by lumber inspector.
• Assists forklift drivers with tally, banding and other requirements as necessary.
• Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• Good use of judgment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in (or willingness to learn) operation of hand and power tools and small equipment in a safe manner.
• Ability to keep a fast pace while not sacrificing quality.
• Willingness to work in a total team environment, comfortable with repetition yet adaptable to change in position, process, product, procedure, etc.,
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
