A local Dubuque manufacturing company is seeking a Fleet Transportation Supervisor to join their supply chain team. In this Supervisory role, your challenge will be to lead and manager a team of five to seven Drivers. Responsibilities include management and direction to delivery staff, compliance with government regulations and safety and security of the department. This position will partner directly with the Transportation Manager to administer and review freight bids, audit bids and score bid recipients. The right fit candidate will possess a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain and have proven professional working experience instructing and partnering with Drivers. What you get to do (in a snap shot):

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Drivers and department employees, including adherence to standard operating procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate.
• Serve as a customer point of contact and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction as it relates to the department.
• Administer and manage carrier quotes (Spot Quotes, Truckload, LTL, DCS) and RFPs within the company’s system and provide month end reporting
• Develop and tracking the department’s KPIs
• Management of domestic freight claims

What we need from you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in the Supply Chain field
• 1+ years of related experience and a solid working knowledge of traffic management and functions.
• Must be proficient with MS Office Applications
• Strong supervisory skills and support staff performance standards.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
