At Hillcrest Family Services, the compassion and extensive experience of our counseling team means we provide a broad range of mental health services and treat a wide array of conditions for individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds at our Mental Health Centers (MHCs), including:

Your Responsibilities
As a Nurse (RN or LPN), you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan, direct, coordinate and provide health services to the clients of Hillcrest Family Services' Mental Health Center. Responsibilities will also include:
- Assessing, monitoring, and evaluating the needs for health services to clients
- Communicating the needs for health services to clients and staff
- Assisting all prescribers in monitoring medication and other health issues
- Providing direct nursing service to clients
- Educating clients and staff regarding psychotropic medication
- Assessing client needs thoroughly and responding with appropriate interventions followed by documentation in the EHR
What You Need
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current Iowa licensure in good standing pursuant to 655-Chapter 3
- At least one (1) year of prior experience working with persons with mental illness and other clients typically served at a Community Mental Health Center
- Knowledge on psychotropic medications, DSM-IV diagnosis, and co-occurring disorders
- Proficiency in time management and EHR documentation
- Demonstration of a professional commitment to providing services to medically underserved individuals
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position
